IMT Enugu produces Automatic Hand Washing Machine.
Amidst the coronavirus outbreak in Enugu state, students of the institute of Management and Technology have been able to design and also constructed an automatic hand_washing machine. This machine will aid in fighting coronavirus most especially when it is used to wash hands.
The Machine was officially unveiled to the Rector of the institution Prof. Augustine Nwaeze and the top management staffs on 18th May 2020.
The construction of the automatic hand_washing machine was carried out in Institute of Management and Technology,Enugu. The Ideal Generation Team (Made up of Lecturers from other departments in IMT) were highly involved in achieving the project.
The able Rector commended the students who are involved in the project. He also appreciate the Head of Department of Electrical Electronic department for the great achievement.
The Rector further said that this project should serve as a lead role to other departments and their entire students.
He also used the medium to encouraged everyone to stay safe by maintaining social distancing, wearing of face mask and constant washing of hands every 20 minutes.
The likes of Engineer Onyebuchi Asanya (Lecturer from Electrical Electronics Engineering Department, IMT), Comrade Otiji Kosisochukwu (President of Electrical Electronics Engineering Students,IMT) and everyone other students who were directly or indirectly involved were acknowledged.
